Dave
Boraman
Managing Director
Dave has more than 20
years experience in hydrology, starting with the South Canterbury
Catchment Board in 1986. With the amalgamation of Waitaki Catchment
Commission and the North and South Canterbury Catchment Board, Dave
was responsible for the operation of the field hydrology team for
Environment Canterbury until 1997, where he attained a NZCE (Civil).
He then went into the private sector, involved with flow monitoring
on many of South and Mid Canterbury’s irrigation schemes.
Dave formed Boraman Consultants Ltd in May 2005, and the business
has steadily grown, monitoring irrigation and carrying out resource
investigations covering most of Canterbury and Central Otago. His
spare time is spent either in the back country tramping, climbing,
or fishing.

Dave
Pierce
Hydrological Technician
Dave graduated from Leeds
University with a BSc(Hons) in Physics and Astrophysics. He spent
15 years working for UK software company BAeSEMA as a software engineer
working on a variety of projects mainly for the Royal Navy.
Dave has lived in Timaru
for 3 years after emigrating from England in 2003 with his wife
and two young sons. He worked for 1 year as the administrator for
the South Canterbury Health Board school-based Meningococcal B vaccination
campaign. Dave joined Boraman Consultants at the start of 2006 and
he has gained valuable experience in field work as well as the data
processing aspects of hydrology. Dave's two sons tend to keep him
busy in his spare time. His family enjoy travel and like to get
out and explore New Zealand as often as they can.

Ben
Walden
Hydrological Technician
Ben is the newest member of the BCL team starting in October 2006,
he recently graduated from Otago University with a BSc in Physical
Geography. His focus throughout his studies have been towards hydrological
subjects, this has provided him with a sound knowledge of what is
involved in this sector. He has a love for the outdoors and this
is reflected in his eagerness within the job. Ben has a sound knowledge
of Canterbury topography which has also been an asset to job. Ben
enjoys Fishing and Hunting in his spare time.
